REECA Financial Aid
In 2006-07 full tuition and fees total $32,882.
Depending on the cost of rent, a single student can expect to require
approximately $1,250-$1,500 per month for room, board, and miscellaneous
expenses. For more information, see the Graduate

A limited number of 2-year grants the Graduate
School of Arts and Sciences covering full or partial tuition, fees,
and living expenses are awarded each year to incoming REECA students
based on need and merit.
A limited number of 1-year Foreign
Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships covering full tuition
and a stipend of $15,000 are awarded to US citizens and permanent
residents each year on a competitive basis University-wide, subject
to program funding by the US Department of Education.
Applicants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are encouraged to apply to the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program in the field of international affairs.
Graduate
research travel grants averaging $2,600 each are readily available
to REECA students for thesis research during the summer between
the two program years.
Summer
FLAS awards are available to US citizens and permanent residents
for language study between program years.
