Examining Russia from the East is different from studying from the West. Professors from the Slavic-Eurasian Research Center, Japan's National Center for the Study of the former Soviet areas, know this well and will demonstrate it based on research conducted recently and presently at the Center in Sapporo. Sanctions, petrostate, the Hajj, and Russia's relations with China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia are among the topics that will be addressed.

Please note the event will be a hybrid event. You may attend it in person or watch it live on YouTube.
